Buttermilk Biscuits

Buttermilk Biscuits

2 cups flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

5 Tablespoons Shortening

1 cup buttermilk

Mix dry ingredients and shortening. Add buttermilk and stir with fork until dough follows fork. Turn out and knead on floured board for 1 ½ minutes. Roll out and brush with melted shortening. Bake on ungreased sheet pan for 12 to 15 minutes in a 450 degree oven
